Here at The New Inn, we’ve always believed that the little details make a big difference — and nothing lifts a room quite like a beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers. But for us, it’s not just about how the flowers look, it’s about where they come from, too.
That’s why we’re proud to get all our fresh flowers from Clamerkinwild, a local flower farm run by the incredibly talented Sarah Cox. Based just a stone’s throw from us in Shalfleet, Sarah grows every single stem herself — organic, seasonal, and completely free from air miles.

Sarah’s flowers aren’t mass-produced or flown in from overseas in refrigerated containers. Instead, they’re nurtured right here on the Isle of Wight, grown with care and attention in the fresh island air. It’s flower farming done the right way — sustainable, ethical, and deeply rooted in the local landscape. From simple hand-tied bunches to intricate table arrangements for weddings and special occasions, everything Sarah creates has a unique, wild beauty that fits perfectly with our ethos.
We chose to work with Sarah not only because her flowers are stunning, but because we believe in the same things: supporting local growers, protecting our environment, and celebrating the stories behind the people who supply us. When you see a fresh display at The New Inn, you’re seeing the result of someone’s passion, hard work, and commitment to keeping things local and sustainable.

Looking ahead, Sarah will also be offering workshops at Clamerkinwild — perfect for group experiences, hen parties, or just a chance to get hands-on and creative with flowers. Keep an eye out for more details, or follow her for updates on Instagram at @clamerkinwild
So next time you visit, take a moment to enjoy the flowers — they’re not just decorations, they’re part of a story we’re proud to share. 🌿🌸
